报告摘要：In topology, mathematicians say that to study 3-and 4-manifolds is more difficult than higher dimensional manifolds. In this talk we introduce short history of Poincaré conjecture, which shows why mathematicians consider low dimensional manifolds as a difficult topic and we introduce how to use knots to study low dimensional manifolds.
报告人简介：Kim, Seongjeong，2018年博士毕业于Moscow State university，现就职于Bauman Moscow State Technical University。研究方向为Low dimensional topology, Knot theory， in particular on Algebraic structures of quandles, Braid and representation theory, link invariants with several skein relations, Triangulations of spaces。
